NJII was founded in 2014 as a 501(c)(3). As an independent, non-profit corporation, we're uniquely positioned to be agile, entrepreneurial, and opportunistic. We combine the resources of an R-1 university with strong industry and government relationships, and proven methods for building industry-centric ecosystems.
Through our innovation labs, NJII brings NJIT expertise to key economic sectors — including AI, healthcare, defense, and entrepreneurship — and has generated over $330M in revenue during its first decade.
